Zheng Wang is a lecturer at the School of Film, Television and Animation, Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, and Deputy Director of the Industry-University-Research Collaborative Innovation Center. Specializing in theatrical and screen art design as well as digital performance space design, he holds a Master’s degree from the Stage Design Department of the Central Academy of Drama.
Since joining the faculty in 2016, he has independently served as production designer on over 70 performance projects, spanning spoken drama, musical theatre, dance theatre, concerts, immersive performances, and cultural tourism productions. His work has received multiple honors, including a Best Set Design Nomination at the 3rd Chinese-Language Theatre Awards and Best Production at the 2017 Beijing College Theatre Festival.
For five consecutive years, he has served as Chief Designer for national events hosted by the Ministry of Education, including the China International College Students’ Innovation Competition and the Youth Red Dream Journey program. His production Guangling Jiexiang was selected for the Edinburgh International Festival’s “China Focus” program in 2025, bringing Chinese contemporary performance aesthetics to the international stage.
