Bohdan Polishchuk

Scenographer, costume designer, director, illustrator and designer

Born in 1986.

Curator of artistic projects. Co-founder of the Scenography Gallery NGO and the international Lviv Quadriennale of Scenography.

Polishchuk graduated from the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture in Kyiv in 2011.

For more than fifteen years, he has collaborated with national and municipal theatres across Ukraine, including the Kyiv Municipal Academic Opera and Ballet Theater, the Ivan Franko National Academic Drama Theatre in Kyiv, the Ivan Franko National Academic Drama Theatre in Ivano-Frankivsk, the Les Kurbas Lviv Academic Theatre, the Maria Zankovetska National Academic Ukrainian Drama Theatre in Lviv, the First Academic Ukrainian Theatre for Children and Youth, the Golden Gate Theatre in Kyiv, the Rivne Regional Academic Music and Drama Theatre, the Olha Kobylianska Chernivtsi Music and Drama Theatre, and the Taras Shevchenko Cherkasy Academic Music and Drama Theatre.

He is also actively engaged in international and independent artistic projects. Polishchuk was curator of the Ukrainian Pavilion at the Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space 2023 and of the Ukrainian Pavilion at the Tbilisi Biennale of Stage Design in 2022 and 2024.
