Danyila Kolot

Scenographer and costume designer

Born in 1992.

Lecturer at the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture in Kyiv.

She graduated from the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture in 2018.

Kolot works extensively with the Maria Zankovetska National Academic Ukrainian Drama Theatre in Lviv, as well as with major Kyiv theatres including the Ivan Franko National Academic Drama Theatre, the Lesia Ukrainka National Academic Drama Theatre, and the Kyiv Academic Theatre for Young Audiences in Lypky. To date, she has contributed to around ten productions.

She is also actively involved in exhibition projects and collaborates with the Scenography Gallery. Her recent projects include the international exhibition Character on the Theatre Stage: Ukraine – Lithuania at the Lithuanian Museum of Theatre, Music and Cinema in Vilnius (2025), the Lviv Quadriennale of Scenography 2025, and the Danylo Lider Triennale of Scenography. Her costume designs were also presented in three exhibitions within the international project Ukrainian Theatre Costume of the 20th–21st Centuries: Identity, Context, Landscape in Kyiv, Lviv and Lublin in 2024.
