Georgia is pleased to announce an open call for national curatorial participation in the 6th<\/p>\n
Tbilisi Biennale of Stage Design, which will take place from 6\/7 October to 17 October<\/b><\/p>\n
2026<\/b> in Tbilisi, Georgia. This international event provides a dynamic platform for professional exchange,<\/p>\n
visibility, and collaboration within the global stage design community.<\/p>\n
Due to ongoing military conflicts in the Middle East, the deadline for submitting<\/p>\n
applications has been extended to 1 May 2026<\/b>.<\/p>\n

About the Tbilisi Biennale of Stage Design<\/b><\/p>\n
Founded in 2016, the Tbilisi Biennale of Stage Design has established itself as a<\/p>\n
significant international platform supporting both emerging and established stage<\/p>\n
designers. Organized by the Valerian Gunia Union of Young Theatre Artists, the<\/p>\n
Biennale fosters professional development, cross-cultural dialogue, and international<\/p>\n
networking through exhibitions, forums, symposia, and educational programmes,<\/p>\n
including MasterLab.<\/p>\n

Key Activities<\/b><\/p>\n
\u2022 International Exhibition of National and Professional Expositions (Mixed formats- in –<\/p>\n
person\/online, including photography and video, are accepted)<\/p>\n
\u2022 Open Forum \/ Tbilisi International Symposium (Themes: \u201cWar and Theatre\u201d and<\/p>\n
\u201cTheatre and Fashion\u201d)<\/p>\n
\u2022 Educational Programme \u2013 MasterLab (Lectures and masterclasses; to be confirmed)General Information<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n Theme: Theatre and Fashion<\/b><\/p>\n Biennale dates: 6\/7\u201317 October 2026<\/b><\/p>\n \u2022 Each participating country will be represented by a national pavilion.<\/p>\n \u2022 Each pavilion is curated and coordinated by a national curator, responsible for selecting<\/p>\n participating artists.<\/p>\n \u2022 National curators oversee the organization of their country\u2019s exposition.<\/p>\n Eligibility Criteria for Participants<\/b><\/p>\n \u2022 Minimum 3 years of professional experience in theatre, cinema, television, multimedia<\/p>\n scenography, or video games<\/p>\n \u2022 Participation of artists must be coordinated through national curators<\/p>\n Eligibility Criteria for Works<\/b><\/p>\n \u2022 Works must have been realized or premiered between 2024\u20132026<\/b><\/p>\n \u2022 Accepted formats include (but are not limited to): sketches, photographs, performances,<\/p>\n videos, animations, installations, multimedia scenography, costumes, scale models,<\/p>\n puppets, etc.<\/p>\n \u2022 International participants are encouraged to present original sketches.
